Start with a lemon and roll that sucker around on the counter with a little bit of pressure. This is going to loosen the lemon insides and make it so much easier to juice!
Next, cut the lemon in half and squeeze the lemon into a shaker. You can also use a juicer and then pour the juice into your shaker.
Next, add your water, sugar, & ice to the shaker. I like to throw the lemon halves into the shaker also! Put the lid on, make sure it's tight, and SHAKE IT UP!
Shake it for about 15-20 seconds, then pour into your glass and garnish with basil or mint leaves (optional)!
