Yield: 1 Jar (4oz)

Equipment

  • 1 Double Boiler
  • 1 4 oz Jar
  • 1 Scale

Materials

  • .5 oz Beeswax
  • 1.5 oz Coconut Oil
  • 1 oz Shea Butter
  • 2 Tbsp Vegetable Glycerin
  • 3 Tbsp Almond Oil

Instructions

  • In a small bowl weigh your beeswax, coconut oil, and shea butter one by one and add them to the top of the double boiler. (Place your bowl on the scale, zero it out, and add in the ingredients one by one and either do the math in your head to add it up or pour each ingredient one by one into the top of the double boiler after weighing it.)
  • Put water in the bottom of your double boiler (about half way) and turn it on medium/high heat. Placed the top of the double boiler on top once the water is boiling and stir the ingredients until melted.
  • Once melted, remove from the heat and add in the vegetable glycerin and almond oil. Stir until completely combined.
  • Pour this mixture into the jar and leave it uncovered until hardened -this will take several hours. Once it's hardened you can put the lid on it and store at room temp.
  • Rub a little bit on your dogs paws about once a day!
