When I tell you these are addictive… I mean it! These cookies are absolutely delicious and always a favorite to anyone who tries them!
Salty & Sweet & Chocolatey & Chewy & Crunchy
All-In-One!
This recipe is a little different than your average cookie recipe but is sooo good and worth the extra time!
The browned butter adds a smoky flavor to it and the bourbon smoked sea salt as well! And when you combine chocolate & salt and sugar for some reason it just makes the whole world seem so much better!

What You’ll Need
2 Sticks Butter, Browned
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Sugar (I use pure organic cane sugar)
1 Egg (from the Fluffy Butt Hut)
2 Tsp Vanilla (homemade!)
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tsp of Salt
2 ¼ Cups Flour
1 ½ Cups Dark Chocolate Chunks (any kind of chocolate chip will work)
Pinch of Bourbon Smoked Sea Salt, topping
How To Make’em
1. In a small saucepan melt butter on medium heat, then turn to high and let boil until brown.
2. Combine browned butter, sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until creamy. Add in the egg and vanilla and whisk.
3. Add in the flour, baking soda, and salt and milk until completely combined.
4. Fold in the chocolate chunks and then scoop onto a cookie sheet about 3″ apart. Place a couple chocolate chunks on top and sprinkle the bourbon smoked sea salt on top of each one.
5. Bake at 350 for roughly 8-12 minutes.



Baking Tips
Make sure your baking sheet is well greased! You can use a stick of butter and just rub the stick all over the pan, you can use a towel with some oil on it, or you can use spray oil. You could also use parchment paper, foil, or the silicone baking sheets if you want to not have to clean your pan afterwards.
I use a “normal” sized cookie scoop, but you could make mini cookies or larger cookies if you would like, just make sure your spacing between each cookie is enough to let them stretch out when baking!
Pay attention to how your oven cooks! Your 350 to someone else might actually be 325 to another oven.
Try to always use a rack in the center of your oven so it cooks evenly but if you want to you can start off on the top/bottom rack and then half way through baking switch racks.

- Enjoy warm with some cold milk!
