When I say addictive these are it! Gooey, thick, chocolatey, sweet, salty, smokey, it’s got it ALL!
You’re probably wondering why does she call it The Ranch Hand Brownie? Well back several years ago when I had my cookie business I was trying to come up with clever names for my treats and when I came up with this flavor it really made me think of a ranch hand because they can be smokey & salty but underneath that darkness they can still be sweet! So there ya go the explanation, now let’s get to the recipe!

Ingredients
Method
- In a small saucepan, on medium heat, melt the butter. Once completely melted, remove from the heat and add in the chocolate chips and stir until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, vanilla, and sugar until combined.
- Add in the flour and salt then stir. Then add in the chocolate mixture until everything is completely combined.
- Fold in the dark chocolate chunks and pecans.
- Pour into an 10×15 baking dish and place more dark chocolate chunks and pecans on top (optional). Bake at 350 for about 30-40 minutes- the middle should not be gooey anymore. Right out of the oven, sprinkle with the smoked salt.
- Let cool, cut, and enjoy!
Notes
So if you’re looking at that pan size and thinking, that seems odd, or who has that big of a pan? Well I do, and I absolutely LOVE my big baking dish! I use it all the time! You can use a 9×13, your brownies will just be thicker and you may need to turn the heat down and cook them for longer…that’s the key. Anyway, here is the link to that size of pan if you would like to get one for yourself!
Happy Baking!
