Not your Average Drinks

Lemon Shake Ups

Let’s make lemon shake-ups!

From tree to glass lets turn your favorite fair drink into an easy drink at home!

You can make just one glass or a whole pitcher with this recipe!
This recipe makes 2 glasses!

You really can’t go wrong with a lemon shake-up on a hot summer day!

It is so good, so refreshing, and and so much better than store bought lemonade mix!

What You’ll Need

  • 1 Lemon
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar (try Monk Fruit Sweetener for a sugar free option!)
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Cup Ice

How To Make It

Start with a lemon and roll that sucker around on the counter with a little bit of pressure. This is going to loosen the lemon insides and make it so much easier to juice!

Next, cut the lemon in half and squeeze the lemon into a shaker. You can also use a juicer and then pour the juice into your shaker.

If you don’t have a shaker you can easily make your own version of a shaker at home! Take 2 cups or glasses and put the ingredients into one of the cups then place the open end of the other cup into the full cup, grip tightly and then shake -I recommend doing this over the sink just in case!

Next, add your water, sugar, & ice to the shaker. I like to throw the lemon halves into the shaker also! Put the lid on, make sure it’s tight, and SHAKE IT UP!

Shake it for about 15-20 seconds, then pour into your glass and garnish with basil or mint leaves (optional)!
